The Grace Children ministry has a team of committed dynamic adults working with the children in the Grace ministry. Nursery children are anxious to move upstairs with the “big kids” (ages 4 1/2 to 5th grade).  Grace provides a safe, fun environment where children can learn and play.

All curriculums are Bible based and there is a lot of emphasis on prayer and learning how to use the Bible. While we teach them the Bible stories we learned as children, we also teach them the practical application for their lives. The ultimate goal is to equip children to be lifetime followers and servants of Christ. Grace believes parents are responsible for their children’s spiritual development and our job is to come along side you to reinforce aid and assist in every way possible.

The staff uses all kinds of different ideas to keep things fresh and moving from puppets, movies and much more. Church should be a fun place to learn and we accomplish that by keeping a fast pace so there is no time for boredom. Grace also offers some friendly competition for the children to learn the books of the Bible, the gifts of the Spirit, the Armor of God, and the Ten Commandments some of the prizes for the winner have been bicycles.

Silly Sunday (the 5th Sunday of the month)

It always the 5th Sunday of the month and is the children’s favorite Sunday. It is just as the name implies, SILLY. The day is based around a subject, theme and/or color. The lesson is reinforced by all activities and food. It is a time of fun and learning. Some examples of Silly Sunday are a snow day when we talked about being white as snow and threw plastic snow all over and made snow angels on the floor. We also had a red day celebrating the blood of Jesus where we tinted everyone’s hair red and ate all red foods.
